As a nurse caring for individuals with special needs, inclusion at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios matters deeply to me because it reflects the belief that the people I care for deserve the same opportunities for joy, community, and meaningful experiences as anyone else. My role as a nurse is not only to manage medical needs, but also to advocate for quality of life. Experiences like visiting Disney and Universal allow individuals with disabilities to participate in the world around them, rather than being limited by their conditions.

I see firsthand how important these moments are for emotional and social well-being. Many of the individuals I care for live with complex medical conditions, and opportunities to enjoy inclusive environments help reduce stress, promote happiness, and create meaningful memories. Seeing them smile, engage with others, and experience the same excitement as everyone else reinforces why inclusion matters so much.
